Since COVID-19 has reached Indiana, the St. Joseph County Department of Health has mobilized our Unified Command consisting of St. Joseph County Department of Health, St. Joseph Regional Medical System, the South Bend Clinic, and Beacon Health System.

Collectively, we have prepared the following message:

“We care about St. Joseph County. There is a potential that COVID-19 will be seen in our community in the near future. The Saint Joseph County Department of Health, South Bend Clinic, Saint Joseph Health System, and Beacon Health System have partnered to provide the best possible care to our community during a potential outbreak of this new virus. Plans are in place to direct patients to the most appropriate setting for care, to minimize the spread of the virus and to get those who need hospitalization excellent care in a local facility. Please take personal preventive measures like washing your hands frequently and watch for updates from healthcare and public health officials.”
