Beacon wants to keep our patients, their families and our caregivers safe. We are grateful to our community for helping to protect their loved ones while they are in our care and for helping to slow the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory diseases by wearing masks.

Beacon continues to require that all patients, visitors and staff wear masks covering the mouth and nose at all times while inside our hospitals and medical offices. Visitors refusing to wear a mask for any reason will not be permitted to enter. Additional information about visitation policies is available here.

Hospital visitors unwilling or unable to wear a mask are encouraged to keep in touch with loved ones by phone or through video apps such as FaceTime.

If a patient or visitor does not have a mask, we will provide one; however, patients and visitors are highly encouraged to bring their own masks to help conserve the supply of masks for frontline medical teams caring for our community.

Wearing a mask helps prevent droplets from the nose or mouth from traveling from one person to another from a sneeze, cough or even talking. The simple acts of wearing a mask, social distancing, covering coughs and sneezes, and handwashing are saving lives.
